Production Print

VisionAid are a specialist supplier of assistive technology for blind and partially sighted people of all ages. They supply magnification devices to enlarge text up to 100 times making it easier for people to see as well as text-to-speech solutions enabling users with more severe vision loss or those who are totally blind access printed material, helping them to maintain or regain their independence.

They began to face issues in terms of cost, reliability, and quality of their prints. Soon recognising that numerous engineer call outs to their incumbent supplier were beginning to affect their ability to print out brochures on a regular basis. VisionAid realised they urgently needed to look at their machines as the business relies on their brochures and catalogue for selling products.

After a mutual contact in their industry recommend DNS, VisionAid got in touch and we presented our ideas which were to introduce a production device as opposed to their previous standard photocopier.

A Clear Vision

As VisionAid rely heavily on their printed collateral we ensured they were completely in the know from start to finish and implemented the new equipment with as little disruption as possible.

“The process was very thorough prior to agreeing to purchase so there were no concerns at the time of the order being placed. Following this, the service was very good, regular site visits with training and assistance in finding the correct solution for our business within our budget.”

Overcoming Obstacles

VisionAid were previously limited on how many pages they could print per brochure, so a production machine with a square fold booklet trimer ensured that booklets had a flat spine, with as many pages as VisionAid required, completely ready for distribution (no trimming or manual folding needed!)

“The process of producing catalogues is now much smoother, faster and more efficient. The cost savings provided together with the higher capacity booklet finisher means we are also able to increase the number of pages in the catalogues to ensure customers are seeing a fuller range of solutions to help them further. DNS have been helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and a very good company to deal with.”

Taking the pressure off and enabling a sleek printing process means that VisionAid can use their time effectively as opposed to sorting out printer issues. Does your business have similar requirements? Contact us – we can help!
